IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note that our safety devices will be back ordered for 6 to 8 weeks because of a lack of components. The prevention program has restarded unexpectedly after several calm months, so we haven't expected it. We will resume deliveries as soon as we receive the devices. Meanwhile, please use your heater only if necessary and ensure it is not placed near flammable products. You can also buy a new unit from a master electrician or a retailer. Thank you for your collaboration and sorry for any inconveniences caused.

The safety standard of portable electric heaters, commonly known as construction heaters, was modified in 2009 (CSA-C22.2 no. 46). This modification was published in order to ensure that additional safety measures be implemented for this type of heater.

Since April of 2009, STELPRO DESIGN Inc. has incorporated an additional security feature known as an ELCI (Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter) into their units. This device serves to detect an overheating of the element in which case power to the unit is shutdown, thus ensuring the safety of the user.

STELPRO DESIGN Inc. announces a Prevention Program designed to protect units that were manufactured before April 2009. For these units, we have manufactured an additional safety device and are offering it to all of our customers FREE of charge. Easy to install, this device plugs in between the existing heater and the wall outlet.

It is IMPORTANT that all consumers of this product obtain this safety device, as element failures in this type of heater (4800W) CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND PUT YOUR SAFETY AT RISK. Until you receive your safety device you are instructed to unplug the heater and stop using it.

For more information, write down the model, serial and CSA numbers as indicated on your heater and, with this information in hand, contact us toll-free at 1-877-230-8279 to determine if your heater requires the safety device.
